Aaron Whalen

Aaron has a long history of working within both the Commercial & Residential construction industries.  With over 25 year of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge & expertise to each project he manages.

His career began in the field doing rough & finish carpentry.  He was then a business owner for 10 years where he completed 30 custom homes.  He also specialized in project management, securing contracts & coordinating subcontractor services for builders and developers. He also spent many years as a Superintendent for a large scale multi-family/multi-story apartment developer where he gained invaluable experience in land development, contract procurement, safety meetings, scheduling of up to 60 different trades at one time, code compliance, meeting energy star and HERS requirements & turnover to the owner/management company.

In his current role as Director of Commercial Construction he handles securing contracts, estimating, managing in house field staff, subcontractors & scheduling.  When asked what he likes most about his position: “I enjoy the professional relationships developed throughout the construction process.  Those relationships are the very foundation of successful projects both current and future.  I also enjoy working for a company that has a “can do” attitude such as Nugent Builders.  With the experience and resources we have, there really isn’t a project we cannot handle and I am proud to be a part of that.”

When Aaron is not hard at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife & 3 daughters.  Together they enjoy golfing and fishing with an emphasis on golfing!   He also shares a passion for landscaping with his wife.  Nugent Builders is proud to have Aaron as part of the team. He brings a calm demeanor, friendly approach & a passion for construction to each one of his projects.
