Courtland Township Hall

Courtland Township had this building designed in 1999 to replace the existing town hall and provide new offices, document storage, and public meeting rooms. Nugent Builders was selected as the general contactor for the project. Work started in November of 1999, and was completed in May 2000. As with many projects, the code review performed by state agencies was done concurrently with the bidding documents. This review increased capacities for well, septic, and storm water systems. Nugent Builders assisted the township through the code review process and obtained minimal cost increases for this work. Overall, the cost increases for the projects were just under two percent. This was attributed to careful planning by the township and by Nugent Builders’ ability to obtain fair pricing from its subcontractors.
